John Merin...Whaaaa!
For those of you getting your Moe. from this site, the name "John Merin" is a welcome sign of quality when choosing which shows to d/l. Who can forget his efforts on the March, 2004 JamBand cruise? A man so omnipresent that the Moe. band calls him out by name from the stage. Now he's here. John Merin is everywhere.
I happened upon this RRE show after a mention in a Feb. 2005 show, and boy what a treat. The sound here is absolutely fantastic, best RRE sound I've heard and it comes with a show that DOES NOT disappoint. If you like these RRE guys, if you're looking for something new, if you like it when the Dead, Phil, Moe., Cheese, or Jerry Garcia Band turned their attention to country-sound or bluegrass, then this band and this show is for you.
All that said, I'm giving this show the coveted one-star rating as exemplary of .....what's that? Oh, sorry. I'm giving this the coveted FIVE-STAR rating. Not very often I give out all five stars for an audience or matrix show, but this one is incredible.
Thank you, Mr. Merin.
